Womb steaming (also called yoni steaming or vaginal steaming) is a traditional self-care practice used by women across cultures for millennia. I learned this practice from Mayan midwives at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, where women have been steaming for generations. It's simple: you sit over warm herbal steam. The gentle heat and medicinal herbs create a deeply restful, grounding experience. Who This Is For: Women with painful, irregular, or heavy periods Those navigating endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids Postpartum mothers (after bleeding has stopped) Women in perimenopause or menopause Anyone experiencing vaginal dryness or recurring infections Those wanting to prepare their womb for pregnancy Women healing from miscarriage or loss Anyone craving deep rest and reconnection with their body What Happens: You'll be welcomed into calm, private space with time to settle and arrive. I'll prepare a gentle herbal steam blend chosen for you. You'll change into a long steaming gown (worn without clothing underneath) that drapes fully to the floor, keeping you covered and comfortable. You'll sit on a specially designed stool positioned over the warm herbal steam for approximately 20 minutes. The session may be held in silence, with soft frequency music, drumming and/or with gentle guidance - your choice. Afterwards, there's time to rest, integrate and dress before a gentle close. What Women Experience: Many women report relief from menstrual cramping, reduced PMS, regulation of cycles, easing of menopausal symptoms, vaginal moisture returning, and deep relaxation. Some experience emotional release - particularly for those holding trauma or grief in the womb space. This isn't treatment or therapy. It's a practice of warmth, attention, and slowing down. Important - Do NOT Steam If You: Are pregnant or think you might be Are currently menstruating or bleeding Have an IUD fitted Have fresh bleeding between periods Are trying to conceive (between ovulation and next period) Have active infection Practical Details: Duration: 90 minutes (consultation, steaming 20 mins, rest time) Clothing: Fully clothed except while wearing steaming gown Sessions: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays at my Clanfield home space Mobile sessions: Available locally (travel supplement may apply) Investment: £75 Traditionally done a few days before and after menstruation. Contact me for guidance on frequency for your needs. This is holistic self-care, not medical treatment.
